On the outskirts of Amsterdam you can rent this unique, floating holiday home from us in Vinkeveen for a special overnight stay, with a beautiful view of the water and the passing boats.
Our houseboat is equipped with every comfort and luxury:
Beautifully furnished living room with lounge sofa and dining area, smart TV (no channels) and patio doors to the spacious terrace where you can sit outside!
What you can expect:
- A fully equipped kitchen with a 2-burner stove, coffee maker, refrigerator, sink and spacious storage cupboards;
- Double bedroom with a lovely double box-spring bed, where you can dream away!
- Bed linen and towels are provided;
- Second bedroom with bunk beds;
- Bathroom with sink, shower and toilet;

The boat is optimal for 4 adults. If you want to stay with 5 or 6 adults, please note that persons 5 and 6 must sleep on the sofa bed in the living room and that the boat is equipped for 4 people. The boat is approximately 35m2 in size.
The floating holiday home is located in a marina in Vinkeveen, 3 km from the center of the attractive village and 12 km from Amsterdam.
The harbor offers many water sports options, including sloop rental, wakeboarding, and diving lessons. From the boat you can jump straight into the Vinkeveense puddles for a refreshing dip or a sporty swim. There are also SUP boards available for rental. Ask for the possibilities.
This floating holiday home is intended for enjoyment on the water, but not for sailing and will remain in place during your stay.
The houseboat is built from very durable materials and is also fully insulated for both cold and heat.

How to get there
The boat is easiest to reach by car. Parking is free on site. During high season, the harbor where you park is closed with a barrier.
If you come by public transport, keep in mind that the connections here are not good. From Amsterdam it takes about an hour to get to the boat, while it is only a 10-15 minute drive by car.
From Schiphol airport it is a 20-minute drive or more than an hour by public transport.

From the boat to Amsterdam:
There is a bus stop 400 meters from the boat. Traveling from the boat to Amsterdam Central Station by public transport takes about an hour. After the bus you have to transfer to a train or metro that will then take you to the center of Amsterdam.
A car is recommended. Parking at the boat is free.

If you have a car you can also take the car to Abcoude station (5-10 minutes drive) and from there catch the train that goes directly to Amsterdam in 10 minutes. Parking at Abcoude Station is free.

Sailing, cycling, walking, eating, staying: Vinkeveen offers it all. Climb the Sacred Heart of Jesus Church and enjoy the view, cycle around the green polder close to Amsterdam and enjoy the crystal clear water of the Vinkeveense Plassen with a sloop, surfboard, SUP board or canoe. Or take a dip underwater. In short, be surprised by the village on the Lakes.
The Vinkeveense Plassen is a beautiful area to explore by boat or bicycle. Water and greenery go hand in hand here. The extensive polder and Botshol nature reserve are just a stone's throw away. There are several beautiful walking, cycling and sailing routes in the area. Along the River Gein from Abcoude you cycle through the centuries-old Dutch landscape where Mondrian painted many works. There are some good restaurants in Vinkeveen and the adjacent Abcoude. By car you can reach Vinkeveen in a few minutes for the supermarket and a multitude of catering establishments. Furthermore, the port is very conveniently located in relation to the A2 motorway, making the entire Randstad within easy reach. For example, you can drive to Amsterdam within 15 minutes and to Utrecht in 20 minutes.
