Our floating home offers you a surprising amount of luxury in a compact space: two bedrooms with TVs, a cozy living and dining area with a fireplace, and a fully equipped kitchen with a cooking island, oven, microwave, and steam cooker. Even on gloomy days, the electric fireplace creates a cozy atmosphere. And while the bathroom is small, it's incredibly comfortable and offers plenty of space for all your belongings.

The absolute highlight is the nearly 40 sq m rooftop sun terrace! Here you can soak up the sun, read a book, or simply gaze at the water. The fresh breeze and the view make every moment special. Private pool steps lead directly into the water – perfect for a refreshing dip or a morning swim!

Perfectly equipped for your stay

You don't have to worry about a thing: The beds are freshly made, towels are provided, and the kitchen is fully equipped. A large built-in wardrobe and a coat rack offer plenty of storage space. Wi-Fi, a 55-inch HD TV with streaming services, a washing machine, and a dryer are also available. You can park right next to the houseboat.

Wangerland lies in the Frisian coastal region of Lower Saxony and looks back on a long history marked by seafaring, dike construction, and agricultural traditions. The old terp villages, built on artificial mounds to protect against storm surges, are a defining feature. The historic churches in Hohenkirchen and Minsen, with their Romanesque origins, are worth seeing, as are the traditional Gulf farmhouses, which speak of the region's former prosperity. In nearby sluice villages like Hooksiel, old harbor facilities and warehouses recall the time when trade and shrimp fishing dominated life.

Even in typical North German weather, Wangerland offers a wide range of indoor activities. Wildlife in rhythm with the tides

The Wadden Sea off Wangerland is one of the most important habitats for migratory birds in Europe. In spring and autumn, hundreds of thousands of birds rest here, including barnacle geese, oystercatchers, and dunlins. Lugworms, mussels, and crabs live in the tidal creeks and mudflats, forming the basis of this unique ecosystem. With a bit of luck, seals can also be spotted on sandbanks off the coast. The salt marshes behind the dike are home to rare plant species and offer a protected habitat for numerous insects and meadow birds.

Unfortunately, the weather wasn't on our side, so we couldn't use the breathtaking terrace. Watching the ducks and swans was very calming. Communication with Lars was very prompt.
