Houseboat summary

You may never have considered this option before, but staying in a genuine motor yacht in Amsterdam will certainly make your stay unforgettable. This beautiful ship, called At Ease, is a whopping 12.50 meters long and offers plenty of charm and comfort. The yacht can accommodate up to 4 guests. Of course, you have the whole ship to yourself, so you don't have to share it with anyone.

If this boat is not available, you can take a look at our other yachts called Almaz, Amazone, Amstelle or Flint. Same location and host.

Houseboat description

Welcome Aboard: Feel Like a Real Captain

As soon as you set foot on board, you will feel like a real captain, especially when you get behind the wheel. And although the yacht remains docked in her port - unless you choose to plan a cruise with us on our small motorboat during your stay - she will give you a real nautical experience. Not only because of the warm wooden interior, but also because of the many birds swimming by and the great views over the water. It is also equipped with two spacious terraces.

Perfect Location

The location is perfect for those who want to combine a trip to Amsterdam with a good night's sleep away from the tourist crowd. However, good public transport links will take you easily into the city. To give you an idea: Vondelpark and Central Station are 25 minutes away, Museumplein 30 minutes, and Leidseplein and Artis Zoo 35 minutes.

Accommodation Details

The boat offers three bedrooms:

  • The captain's cabin: Equipped with a double bed (190x190cm V-shape)
  • Two single beds: Located at the back of the ship on the left and right (120x200cm)

The master bedroom has an en-suite bathroom with a shower and hot/cold water. The toilet is located at the front of the ship.

Kitchen and Dining

You also have a kitchen on board to prepare breakfast or a simple meal. But again, who wants to cook in a city with so many nice places to eat and drink? And know that in our marina, you will find a lovely restaurant with a waterfront terrace and great food and drinks. Everything for a convenient and unique stay in Amsterdam!

Spacious Living Room with Stunning Views

The surprisingly large living room is glazed all around, allowing you to enjoy the scenery around you: the wide views over the water, the famous and ever-changing Dutch clouds passing by, the reflection of the water dancing on the ceiling. No hotel room offers that for sure.

Nearby Outdoor Adventure

Last but not least, we would like to mention that the ‘Amsterdamse Bos’ (or in English, ‘the forest of Amsterdam’) is just a 10-minute walk away. This large forest was handcrafted a century ago to offer Amsterdamers a nearby outdoor experience. So, if you like walking and hiking, this could be a great value for your trip to our city!

About the area

Historic Landmarks at Your Fingertips

In the heart of the Netherlands, Amsterdam is a city rich with history, showcasing iconic landmarks that reflect its enchanting past. The famed Anne Frank House offers a poignant glimpse into the life of a young girl during World War II, while the grand Rijksmuseum houses masterpieces from Dutch Golden Age painters such as Rembrandt and Vermeer. Strolling the cobbled streets, you'll find the stunning 17th-century canals, designated as a UNESCO World Heritage site, and the impressive Royal Palace of Amsterdam, which stands as a testament to the city’s royal heritage.

Indoor Adventures in the City

When it comes to indoor activities, Amsterdam doesn't disappoint. Art enthusiasts are spoiled for choice with numerous museums like the Van Gogh Museum, which features the largest collection of Van Gogh's works. For those seeking something different, the NDSM Wharf offers a thriving arts scene with exhibitions, interactive workshops and unique installations. Adventurers can immerse themselves in the intriguing world of science at the NEMO Science Museum, or explore the vibrant atmosphere of the city's many local markets, where you can taste and purchase Dutch delicacies.

Outdoor Escapes and Natural Beauty

Amsterdam's outdoor spaces provide a refreshing contrast to its bustling urban scene. The Vondelpark, the city’s largest park, is a popular spot for picnics, jogging, or simply soaking up the sun while watching street performances. Just a short bike ride away, you can explore the serene landscapes of Amsterdamse Bos, a vast forested park with man-made lakes, paths for cycling, and opportunities for canoeing. The enchanting Keukenhof Gardens, located a little outside the city, display breathtaking tulip fields and floral exhibits during spring, making it a perfect outing for nature lovers.

Wildlife Encounters in Urban Oasis

Despite being a bustling metropolis, Amsterdam is an excellent place for wildlife enthusiasts. Within the city, the Artis Royal Zoo offers an intimate experience with diverse species, from elephants to wildlife in the planetarium. For a more natural setting, head to the nearby wetlands of Amstelpark, where you may catch sight of herons and swans. If you're willing to venture further, the Zwanenwater nature reserve boasts beautiful dunes and migratory birds, providing an ideal spot for birdwatching and hiking.
