Houseboat summary

You may have never thought about this option, but staying on a genuine motor yacht in Amsterdam will certainly make your stay unforgettable. This wonderful vessel is no less than 12,50 meters in length and offers lots of charm and coziness. We can accommodate up to 4 guests comfortably. Of course you have the whole ship to yourself, so no need to share with anyone. And, we have strictly implemented all the measures needed concerning the Covid19 hygiene protocol, so you don't have to worry about that.

If this boat is not available, you can have a look at our other yachts called AlmazMotor yacht Amazone or the Cozy Amsterdam Motor Yacht. Same location and host.

Houseboat description

As soon as you set foot aboard you will feel like a true captain, especially when you get behind the steering wheel. And although the yacht will stay docked in her harbor - unless you choose to schedule a cruise with us during your stay, she will give you a real nautical experience. Not only because of the warm wooden interior, but also because of the many birds swimming by and the great view over the water.

The location is perfect for those who want to combine a trip to Amsterdam with a good night rest, away from the tourist masses. Good public transport connections take you into town easily. To give you an impression: the Vondelpark and Central Station are 25 minutes away, The Museum Square 30 minutes, and the Leidse Square and Artis Zoo 35 minutes.

The boat offers two bedrooms: the master bedroom with double bed (195x135 cm) in the back of the ship and a second bedroom in the front with a double V-shaped bed. The master bedroom offers an en-suite bathroom with shower, and hot and cold water. The toilet is located in the front of the ship.

You also have a kitchen aboard to prepare breakfast or a simple meal. Then again: who wants to cook in a city with so much great places to eat and drink. And know that in our marina you will find a wonderful restaurant with waterfront terrace and superb food and beverages as well. Everything for a convenient and unique stay in Amsterdam!

The surprisingly large living room has glass all around so you can enjoy the scenery around you: the panoramic view over the water, the famous and ever-changing Dutch clouds passing by, the reflection of the water dancing on the ceiling. No hotel room offers that for sure.

And last but not least we want to mention that the 'Amsterdamse Bos' or in English 'the forest of Amsterdam' is located only 10 minutes walking away. This is a large forest built by hand a century ago to offer the people of Amsterdam a nearby outdoor experience. So if you like wandering and hiking, this can be a great added value to your trip to our city!

Here is quick overview of the amenities aboard:

  • Free internet on board
  • Fridge
  • Coffeemaker (coffee and tea is on board)
  • Hairdryer

  • Cooking facilities
  • Mini bar (free drinks for the first day)

About the area

Our marina is situated on the beautiful lake called "Nieuwe Meer". A medium sized lake on the outskirts of town and on the other side you'll find the famous 'Amsterdamse Bos'. This man-made forest is a great place to wander around and enjoy nature, and on the other side of the forest you have the exciting and vibrant city center of Amsterdam. Many guests find this the perfect combination during their visit to Amsterdam.

At the lake there are several water sports facilities on offer, such as renting a sailboat or a Sub-board.

From 20 to 24 August 2025, Europe's biggest nautical event will take place; SAIL Amsterdam. During SAIL, Amsterdam will welcome more than 800 (inter)national (tall) ships. You can experience SAIL 2025 exclusively on aboard our small motor boat C'est la vie. We offer various sailing arrangements, you will have private use of the boat with your host as skipper. If you want to be sure of a special experience, book your cruise now. On 27

October 2025, Amsterdam will be 750 years old. And the city will celebrate this in grand style, for a year, from 27 October 2024 until the actual anniversary one year later. The goal: a city that buzzes like never before!

Actually nice if not... Show original

The boat is on a pier with no direct view of the lake. Overall, the boat is in need of renovation. The sanitary facilities are absolutely inadequate. Old smelly toilet on board. No possibility to shower. Sanitary facilities are not finished. On one side there is noise from the very close motorway and above you the approach path from Amsterdam Schiphol. So not suitable for those who want a relaxed family holiday.

Amazing and relaxing stay in Amsterdam

We stayed on the boat as a group of 4 for a long weekend and it was the best accomodation for the City Trip we wanted! Gros was a great host, very flexible with check in and great communication and we were greeted with cold beer and snacks on arrival which we could enjoy on the sunny deck of the boat. The location was great to reach from the airport and it was super easy to get to the City centre with metro/Tram or bus. It was the ideal mix of a quiet weekend on the boat and days of sightseeing in the city of Amsterdam. We could go for swims in the morning on the lake and we're sitting on the boat in the evenings. The boat is a good size for 4 people, with 2 sleeping cabins and loads of seating, a small kitchen and everything you need. You shouldn't mind sharing a very cozy bathroom with the other people on the boat, but since everything worked fine, we didn't mind. I can only recommend staying on one of Gros' boats!

Perfect welcome, very friendly owner and good location even if out of the way; it takes little time to reach the center and the marina is very quiet.
