Houseboat summary

Stop looking, you found the most characteristic way to stay and enjoy Amsterdam: have your own suite on a just newly built real houseboat! You'll have a 1-room suite and bathroom with you own entrance. It's docked at Prinsengracht, right at one of the beautiful main canals of the city center. It's a superb spot right in the heart of the "Jordaan" area. More romantic it cannot get: You'll enjoy spotting swans, ducks and boats passing by.

We live ourselves on the houseboat on the other side, with our own entrance. The only thing we share is the first entrance and the hallway. You have your own private luxury suite.

Houseboat owner

Susan

My name is Susan . In Dutch ‘’ means happiness.

I was born and raised on the beautiful and colorful Caribbean island Curaçao. I love to host, a trait I learned from my 'Abuelita' and my (God)mother. The Caribbean flair and warmth combined with the happiness and love is what I like to share with my guests.

I speak Papiamento (creole language spoken in the Dutch Caribbean), English, Dutch and Spanish. Next to this I understand French and Portuguese.

I love to travel and have been able to visit many countries in Latin America, North America, Europe, and Asia. Travelling has given me a better understating of various cultures. On my journeys I have been able to meet great people and to love them and our differences. Having guests over allows me to travel to their necks of the world. This is one of the reasons, I love to run this floating B&B. I get the chance to share the love that was shared with me on my journeys.

Our home motto is: "Do not forget to show hospitality to strangers, for by so doing some people have shown hospitality to angels without knowing it".

    Lovely Houseboat

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the Van Gogh suite of this houseboat. The location can't be beat! And the houseboat is newly appointed, very clean and very modern. We stayed for 7 nights. We highly recommend it!

Great place to stay in the center of Amsterdam

We had a great stay on the houseboat of Enza and Caspar. The van Gogh suite is beautifully decorated, luxurious and equipped with all comforts. Good address when visiting Amsterdam, hospitable hosts. Recommended!

    Fantastic houseboat!

What a wonderful stay! The location is very central and you have a very nice view from the room. The service was great, very spontaneous and warm hearted! Absolutely recommended, we will definitely come back again.

    Lovely room on houseboat

Susan was an excellent host both before and during our stay. A fan was provided as it was very warm when we stayed and some nibbles and drinks in the fridge were much appreciated. The location of the boathouse is excellent for Amsterdam in general. There is a quaint corner bar nearby as well as a well sourced supermarket. The view from the room is delightful - although you do need to remember that passing boats have an equally good view in. The room was clean and compact but space for storage and making yourself at home, which we did very well for 4 nights. We will be back and maybe try the Rembrandt room which is slightly bigger.

    Excellent location and great views!

Our stay in Amsterdam was so wonderful, in part due to this amazing houseboat! The location is super convenient and close to so many restaurants, shopping, and activities. Susan was a great host and she made us feel right at home. I would like to thank Susan for making our stay as great as possible. I hope to be back some day and would definitely stay here again!
