Houseboat summary

Stop looking, you found the most characteristic way to stay and enjoy Amsterdam: have your own suite on a just newly built real houseboat! You'll have a 1-room suite and bathroom with you own entrance. It's docked at Prinsengracht, right at one of the beautiful main canals of the city center. It's a superb spot right in the heart of the "Jordaan" area. More romantic it cannot get: You'll enjoy spotting swans, ducks and boats passing by.

We live ourselves on the houseboat on the other side, with our own entrance. The only thing we share is the first entrance and the hallway. You have your own private luxury suite.

Bike rental is possible

The houseboat is situated in a lovely area, near galleries of the 9 streets and is surrounded with many many cafes and restaurants, all very nearby. We will help you make your choice..

It is very near all must-sees and must-go's, even though it is a quiet place, this is the best of both worlds.

    Lovely room on houseboat

Susan was an excellent host both before and during our stay. A fan was provided as it was very warm when we stayed and some nibbles and drinks in the fridge were much appreciated. The location of the boathouse is excellent for Amsterdam in general. There is a quaint corner bar nearby as well as a well sourced supermarket. The view from the room is delightful - although you do need to remember that passing boats have an equally good view in. The room was clean and compact but space for storage and making yourself at home, which we did very well for 4 nights. We will be back and maybe try the Rembrandt room which is slightly bigger.
