Houseboat summary

Stop looking, you found the most characteristic way to stay and enjoy Amsterdam: at you have your own 2 suites on a just newly built real houseboat! You'll have a 2 suites with both their own bathroom. Both suites have their own entrance. It's docked on the Prinsengracht, one of the beautiful main canals in the city center. It's a superb spot right in the heart of the "Jordaan" area. It cannot get more romantic: you'll enjoy spotting swans, ducks and boats passing by.

We ourselves live on the houseboat too, on the other side, with our own entrance. The only thing we share is the first entrance and the hallway. You have your own private luxury suites.

We offer 2 separate suites, both for 2 people, so you can stay with 4 total, like with your family or friends. But please know that there is no "living room" together. We normally promote these suites separately, but also offer them both so people interested in traveling with 4 persons can stay with us as well.

Houseboat owner

Susan

My name is Susan . In Dutch ‘’ means happiness.

I was born and raised on the beautiful and colorful Caribbean island Curaçao. I love to host, a trait I learned from my 'Abuelita' and my (God)mother. The Caribbean flair and warmth combined with the happiness and love is what I like to share with my guests.

I speak Papiamento (creole language spoken in the Dutch Caribbean), English, Dutch and Spanish. Next to this I understand French and Portuguese.

I love to travel and have been able to visit many countries in Latin America, North America, Europe, and Asia. Travelling has given me a better understating of various cultures. On my journeys I have been able to meet great people and to love them and our differences. Having guests over allows me to travel to their necks of the world. This is one of the reasons, I love to run this floating B&B. I get the chance to share the love that was shared with me on my journeys.

Our home motto is: "Do not forget to show hospitality to strangers, for by so doing some people have shown hospitality to angels without knowing it".

    An amazing stay in Amsterdam

The houseboat stay was absolutely amazing. The room was clean, the host approachable and helpful and the view was everything we could have wished for being so close to the water and watching the boats go by right next to our window. The location was so central it made visiting Anne Frank House and Rijksmuseum easy. Lots of lovely restaurants and cafes nearby too.
