Enjoy Rotterdam on a boat apartment in the city centre. You can’t get any closer to the city!
The Visithor is a classic working ship (built in x 6 metres) harboured in the dynamic centre of Rotterdam. It’s spacious interior is lovingly transformed into 2 apartments (each 45m2), with many nautical details. Plus: all modern comforts such as central heating, WIFI, cable television, and a comfy woodstove. Visithor I is an apartment with a spacious interior (45m2) with many nautical details. There is a bathroom and fully equipped kitchen. You have a private entrance and a sunny deck terrace with a fantastic view. Each apartment has a bathroom, a kitchen, a private entrance and a furnished deck terrace with a fantastic view. This apartment has room for 4 guests.
The boat was built in 1955 and was in service to rebuild and expand the Rotterdam harbour after the 2nd world war. In 2007, after more than half a century, it was bought by the current owner and rebuilt to start a second life. The Visithor still looks rough on the outside but the inside is romantic and very comfortable. In the winter he central heating system keeps you warm, and the wood stove, including firewood, adds a romantic touch. In the summer you can enjoy the sun and the fantastic view on the top deck terrace. The portholes have been replaced with large ship windows and there are skylights for natural daylight. Outside the ship still looks like it used to, with a loading mast and winch on the upper deck. The Visithor blends perfectly with its surroundings, the Maritime District in the old harbour of Rotterdam.

At night the many nautical lights add a shipping atmosphere.
The kitchen is equipped with a fridge, cooking plates, toaster, pans, plates, cutlery, cups and glasses. Plus: herbs, a little oven, a coffee machine and a water cooker, coffee and tea, as well as cleaning gear and towels.
The apartment contains a double bed plus a sofa bed that can be turned into a comfortable double bed. In Visithor II there is an extra bedroom for one person. Bed sheets are present.

About the area
The Wijnhaven, where the Visithor is moored, is one of the old city harbours. It is located near the Erasmus Bridge, the main shopping area and the Museum district, with Boymans van Beuningen Museum and Netherlands Architectuur Museum (NAi). Bars, restaurants, galeries and cinema's are all within walking distance as well as the new Markthal. The Wijnhaven is a museum in itself, full of classic Dutch boats.
Hello I’m Eric! I’ve lived in Rotterdam for a long time and I love this harbour city. Just like water, Rotterdam keeps moving and changing. In other words, Rotterdam keeps getting better! I can tell you everything about Rotterdam and its attractions.
I love to travel myself, preferably to harbour places. The liveliness in these harbour towns gives me energy. Travelling has inspired me to start my own bed and breakfast, of course, on a boat.
I own 2 classic boats, that have been renovated in authentic nautical style. While being authentic, the boats also offer modern luxury like nice warm showers, central heating, fully equipped kitchens and comfortable beds.
